Neurodivergence
Neurodivergence involves variations in the human brain and nervous system. These variations result in different ways of thinking, learning, and processing information. It includes conditions like ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and others. These differences are part of the natural diversity of human cognition and behaviour.
For individuals who are neurodivergent, therapy and support is tailored to meet unique needs. I create strategies to navigate challenges in social interactions, organisation, or sensory processing. These strategies empower clients by acknowledging their unique abilities. The emphasis is on understanding and adapting to the ways in which the brain works, fostering self-awareness, and building coping mechanisms that promote well-being.
Being neurodivergent is about recognising the value in cognitive differences and offering supportive environments that help individuals thrive rather than try to fit them into a “neurotypical” mould.
