Reiki

“You don’t have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.”

~ C.S. Lewis

The exact time when this ancient healing art vanished is unclear. However, it was rediscovered by a Japanese scholar and monk named Dr. Mikao Usui. Dr. Usui is credited with naming the practice REIKI.

Reiki is a healing practice that originated in India and the East, dating back thousands of years to the times before Christ and Buddha. The original name, disciplines, and techniques of Reiki were lost because they were traditionally passed down orally from one generation to the next.

Reiki, a two-syllable Japanese word meaning “universal life force,” is pronounced RYE-KEY in Japanese but westernized to RAY-KEY. “Rei” signifies universal or spiritual consciousness, while “Ki” represents the non-physical energy that sustains life. Various cultures recognize the importance of Ki and its impact on well-being.

When you feel healthy and enthusiastic, your Ki energy flows freely, making life easier and enhancing your resistance to illness. Conversely, when your Ki energy is low due to stress or fatigue, you become more prone to sickness and struggle with life’s challenges. Ki is the essence of the soul and departs the body at death.

Reiki is a holistic practice that stimulates natural healing by addressing the body, mind, and spirit, clearing emotional and physical blockages that cause illness. It is the highest vibration of life, embodying pure unconditional love and joy, uniting all living things.

Reiki techniques are simple and easy to learn for both children and adults. Regular practice balances the mind, body, and spirit.

Treatment

The body has seven main energy centers called Chakras that control the flow of the universal life force. Each chakra energizes specific body parts, and blockages can lead to illness and reduced energy flow.

A full Reiki treatment reopens these chakras, restoring the balance of energy throughout the body. Typically, four consecutive treatments are needed to enhance Reiki energy flow, boost the immune system, and activate natural healing abilities. This process begins with detoxification, leading to rebalanced energy and the start of healing.

While many cultures have developed methods to stimulate Ki energy flow, Reiki stands out for its simplicity and profound results.

I am trained in both Angelic and Usui Reiki and combine both techniques during treatment.
